Art Underfoot in Downtown Frederick

Frederick Maryland has a thriving art community.  On a walk through the Historic District you’ll be delighted by bursts of art from lots of different surfaces, including underfoot.

  1. My husband and I are in the process of selling our house and relocating our family — we have a daughter and a son — to the Washington D.C. metro area from Pasadena, CA. We are looking to rent for awhile in an area near DC and have heard good things about Frederick, but it’s hard to get a feel for a place from so far away.

One thing we’re really hoping to replicate about Pasadena in our new home town is great restaurants and a community appreciation for the arts, and this website is the first to give me a good feeling about that. Thanks so much!

  2. Thanks for the comment Wendy! I’m so glad to hear http://www.365frederick.com is helpful in this way, that’s my intention: to showcase what a lovely city Frederick is. Frederick is a great place to live, the restaurants are fantastic, the parks are beautiful, and it has a growing art community. It has a commute to D.C. that is approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on location, and about 40% of the population commutes to southern locations. (We’ll be happy to give you a tour when you come)

    Thanks again for the encouragement:)
