Frederick County Association of Realtors® Charity Auction
The local Realtors® Association, FCAR, is planning their 2016 Charity Dinner & Auction. This is an annual event, coordinated by the FCAR Community Service Committee, that raises money for local charities by auctioning off donated items, fun events and excursions. It’s the charity highlight of the year for most Realtors®.
This year, the Charity Dinner and Auction will raise money for Advocates for Homeless Families. Advocates for Homeless Families is one of the local non-profits who are doing amazing work in ending the cycle of poverty. They provide intensive help for families by not only providing emergency relief, but getting parents into job training and other help to give them a hand up. Their success rate is a phenomenal 95+%. As Realtors, Chris and I are thrilled to be a small part of this sustainable initiative to end homelessness.
This year’s event will be held at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant, 581 limes Avenue in Frederick, on November 17th, at 5:30 pm. The cost is $40 for Hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert…and a fun-filled evening.
There will be a silent auction throughout the evening, for the more demure among us, as well as a live auction for those who love adventure! Local musician and Realtor Todd Walker will provide entertainment and his MC expertise. Dana Dudley of Double D Auctioneers, Middletown Md has graciously agreed to be the auctioneer for our fundraiser. She and her crew bring a lot of fun to the event.
This event is open to the public. It’s always a fun event…because Realtors are a fun, gregarious group! If you’re interested, contact us on the blog. Or call the FCAR office, 301-663-0757.
P.S. If you’d like to donate an item or service or experience to the auction, I’d love to hear from you!
